What I like best in my job
Hello. My name is Diane Cvetich and I am the Operations Coordinator here at MMG.
Blogging is a new thing for me so please, bear with me.
In an attempt to come up with something to write, I got to thinking about what I like best in my job. The answer to that is pretty easy – it is the people I work with. Because my job often entails helping out the different departments, I have had a chance to get to know everyone on a personal basis (or maybe it is because I am nosy and get all up in people’s business). From that, I have learned how much goodness is done behind the scenes by those I work with. I am talking about the personal causes that are important to them individually and are in addition to the pro bono work that they do on behalf of MMG. Just to name a few, below are some of the organizations that have benefited from the skills, knowledge and most importantly, time of my fellow MMG’rs:
Cambridge Public Library; Canadian Cancer Society; Doors Open Guelph; Guelph-Wellington Volunteer Centre; Halton County Radial Railway; Heart and Stroke Foundation; MS Society; Parkinson’s Society; Victory Public School; Women in Crisis; Wyndham House
…and– I am sure I am missing some. These people that I work with everyday truly inspire me to do better - and can you think of a better environment to work in?
