Childhood Dreams

Apparently blogging is now a part of my job description with the launch of our new website, So to introduce myself (and write something you didn’t already read in my bio), here goes…

I come from large family. I have twelve siblings, four brothers and eight sisters. My place is right in the middle – six younger and six older. I have no kids of my own, but as you can imagine, I have lots of nieces and nephews (of varying ages) that I can borrow whenever I like. And I can’t imagine improving on that arrangement!

My husband and I love to travel. We’ve been to: Austria, Belgium, China, Costa Rica, Cuba, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, England, France, Germany, Honduras, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, USA & Wales. And we still have a long list of places we’d love to see.

Lastly, I’m very organized. Whenever I’m described – in a work or personal setting – the word organized is used every single time! For most of my life I didn’t notice this about myself (although the fact that I wanted to be a librarian or an efficiency expert “when I grew up” should have been a clue). I find it hard to comprehend why everyone doesn’t have customized lists for every purpose, or how people forget to pay a bill or return an item on time. But I’m happy everyone isn’t like me – otherwise my greatest strength wouldn’t be as valuable to everyone around me. Someone else named my super hero, “The Efficienator”. And since they didn’t know about my childhood dream, it’s a testament to how much I love what I do.
